So I posted this a while ago. And while I was procrastinating and looking at my old blog entries… I realized something…

When I first saw this, I was amazed. I thought, “Wow! That’s a pretty gutsy thing to do. I mean, God can smite you at anytime, any place.” I thought that this person was making up words and saying that God said them. I thought it was sort of blasphemy.

But now that I started going to church and becoming more aware… I realize that this billboard is not doing what I thought. Now that I think of it. It’s not that at all! It’s true. God does not hate you because you are gay! A lot of people (like me) tend to forget that Earth is the Devil’s playground. He’s here among us tempting us to sin and trying to get us to reject our Father. That’s what some people believe is the reason that people are gay. But either way, God still loves you.

You know… the thing with Prop 8… and my roomies have been talking about it… one of them brought up the point that the word “marriage” is a biblical term. And that being able to have a marriage would say that God condones the union of man and man or woman and woman. My counter argument was why couldn’t God change his mind about this issue… but apparently that makes him a liar? Idk. Whoever is reading this (probably no one) is probably thinking “If being gay or lesbian makes me happy, why doesn’t God want me to be happy?” I haven’t really figured that out yet myself. That’s one of the big reasons that I’m against banning gay marriage. When I figure that out, it will definately be posted here.

Point is… I know a lot of people out there are being painted in the wrong image because of the smear campaigns. But you know, ultimately, this is a matter of religion and beliefs. Not because people are homophobes or want people to be unhappy or “racist.”

Maybe to make it fair… change marriage for everyone to be a civil union. Leave marriage up to the churches. Will that make people feel better?

And you know, we were also talking.. and we were wondering… whoever argues against God and stuff… have they ever picked up a Bible? Have they researched throughly before assuming?
